as told to me by my almost-four-year-old daughter Faery (this is her codename): Mommy, Halloween is scary. Because the aliens always come to earth, and they come into my room and go into my closet. And they steal my underpants. Me: Oh, is that what they do? Faery: Yes. They go into the closet and they take my underpants to space! Me: Well, we'll have to keep watch then, won't we? Faery: Yes. Because I want to keep my underpants. . |

What backwards things have you been teaching these poor kids?
So that's what happened to all my underpants in college...
Yes, Collette... you keep telling yourself that.
Teehee. Faery has a beautifully warped mind. Love it. :D
When I was in 4th grade, my Cub Scout troop went to a haunted house in Ohio and afterwards we all swore that we saw a UFO folowing us home afterwards.
In retrospect, I'm pretty sure it was just an optical illusion with the moon and the clouds, but maybe I was right as a kid and it was a UFO and they were on a Halloween underpants raid.
It's so obvious now.
I am assuming that given her age she is really proud to have underpants :)
Yes, but when does the profit happen?
Hee, thanks everyone! I think these are some of my favorite comments ever.
*nods* Yep, Ericka, she's been an underpants-wearer for about four months now and is still quite proud of herself. (I'm of the "delaying potty training doesn't hurt them" school, see. Both my girls were completely trained in less than two days each, and I think it's because we waited. JMO, of course; there's nothing wrong with training earlier, I'm just a path-of-least-resistance type of Mommy.)
oh noes.. I thought it was my cat!!
that is so cute Stacia!!
Does she know about the Underpants Gnomes on South Park? ;-)
Have a lovely day! :-)
that's too cute! :)
I don't think there is anything wrong with waiting either...my second oldest daughter absolutely refused to be potty trained until she was about three or three and a half. She just would not go in the potty...but when she was ready, she just went.
You gotta love her thoughts on this! What is she being for Halloween?
That was too cute.
